• Google review: It was really important to me to have an intimate gathering for my wedding with my family and not skimp out of the lavishness that I craved, I wanted to live inside an aesthetic celebration! Nicole made it happen! We didn't know what to expect but she stayed longer than promised, over delivered, and gave us a product we brag about! We feel honored and celebrated to the max! If you are considering working with Nicole, I cannot recommend her enough--reach out to her! In any event or time in the future that we need photos for, I will absolutely be referring back to Nicole Caldwell!!! What drew me to Nicole's work is her editorial ability to highlight natural moments and make them look high fashion. I'm a digital artist and I've fooled around with cameras before, but Nicole's mastery of the craft makes it look easy! Her website and instagram shows a delicious breadth of work-- but the attention to using film and a variety of new and old equipment had me sold! I can't express how perfect of a fit she was for our wedding. It felt more valuable to go with someone who treats photography as a true art form and the film speaks for itself. Looking at the result she was able to capture the magic of the moment and let it shine--our final slideshow and stacks of take home film gleam like the fantastic dream that our wedding was. There's also something really special being able to flip through the tangible film photos, what a treat we will treasure for the rest of our lives! Nicole Caldwell originals! Honestly they look like classic movie stills that we get to live inside... Working with Nicole was so easy, it was fun to get to know her initially over email and phone. She was responsive, carefree, and directed the process so seamlessly--for what is a delicate and stressful time for couples I trusted her immediately! I also felt like her friend throughout the planning process! :) She secured the difficult film that peaked my interest; was fluid on plans, location changes, ready with her plan but open to suggestions; and had no problem spending her holiday on New Year's pampering my family and I! What a dream! I wanted to let Nicole and Kip, her photo team mate, have full creative freedom over how the day would go artistically--the end result was so insane, my family and friends cannot stop raving over the images. It's actually really hard to pick through which ones we want to print out because they all are 10's! Nicole is so sweet and professional immediately upon arrival. She added a calming energy in the intimate day between the 9 of us. Kip was amazing at keeping our attention, making us laugh, and using super fun cameras and props!! We progressively had more and more fun throughout the day together where at the end Kip and Nicole felt like honored guests. Ok this is long but I can't stop...Kip and Nicole have amazing coaching abilities, they make you feel like a rock star! You can tell this ain't their first rodeo! They hit the perfect lighting, angles, and poses that feel natural yet dramatic! They gave us the permission to be goofy and enjoy the things that may be considered 'mistakes' (like blinking in the film) as part of the experience! Super professional attitudes and it was delightful being in front of the camera! We hammed it up with them and felt very blessed that they invited us back to finish up the film in their studio as well as stayed over time with us on the wedding day to capture it all. Was so much fun, you could tell none of us wanted it to stop! Alright, alright, just book her ok!!!! She has this unique ability to pull out your personality and capture the moments that truly depict who you are while involving the surroundings too, albeit a chair, a beach, a dress. Whether in studio, or on location, Nicole is a master. You'd be silly to work with anyone else. For over ten years I've come back to Nicole again and again for professional shots. She's that good. Also, Nicole's modern studio is bright with gorgeous natural light and nestled in among the quaint stores of the City of Orange. She uses multiple props to capture various looks and knows exactly what to do to get the money shot.
